Distractions happen to the best of us, such is life, I always mean to do something then I need the toilet to demonstrate my straining face, then I've forgotten later on what I needed to do, that's why early on I developed some simple tips and techniques not to get distracted and focus on what's important in your blogs content.

Make a to do list, a prioritized list of things that need to be done, this could be blog posts titles or ideas, researching articles for your blog, finding advertisers, guest posters etc.
Lists of things that need to be done can help you plan the work ahead, organisation is the key to building momentum on your blog, by planning things in advance you have the advantage over others who do not plan a single thing in their blogging life.
Number 2
Keep notepads all around the house, sometimes ideas strike your tiny mind at the most mundane times, washing the pots, talking to a boring work colleague or watching the latest reality tv show.
Times that usually I come up with great ideas is when my mind is switching off but still ticking away in thought, those times before you actually do fall asleep is one example were I come up with lots of ideas so I Quickly write them down so I don't forget.

Always stay in touch with what other blogs that are similar in your niche content are doing, this could provide some much needed inspiration and guidance for you to make your blog stand out in your own unique voice, you need to be thinking in terms of cornering your niche and making it the number one place to go to for your original content that only you can write.
