Do You Visit Other Bloggers Blogs Through The Comments They Leave On Your Blog?

July 18th 2008 19:31
And more importantly why would you want to do this?

Well an important networking point to remember about blogging is to give and you shall recieve, comment on other blogs, do it quite often, not just to gain traffic, to participate in a wider community with thoughtful discussion and well intentioned reactions to other bloggers posts.

This is far more better for attracting readers to your blog and you to others, I myself tend to find myself reading someones blog through my feedreader at least once a week, depending if they have something new to say in their blog, favourite blogs that make an impression on you are the ones that you will follow for a long time to come.

Blogs like problogger are one of the ones that spring to mind, they provide valuable and very useful content each and every week, if not every day!

Also you could find new people to network with to guest post on your blogs or you to guest post on their blogs, this increases exposure for your blog and thiers, win win situations are what the blogosphere is ll about and interaction of similar niche inspired blogs.

Yeah, I do visit the blog which my readers left at my comment area...

Since the readers have had visited our blog, we must return the favor, by visiting theirs as well...By the end, it's still a win-win situation

Wilson.

Comments are such a wonderful tool on blogs, you can interact further with your readers and find out what they are into on their blogs too.

I've always found out new information this way!

I have come across the most interesting blogs just by clicking on comments on my own blog. Some of them have become favorites of mine. I always like to make sure I read and vote on my faves, especially if I would like the same in return.

That's great way of thinking about blogging and there are interesting blogs out there it's just finding them and especially updated ones!!

I agree and it becomes just as much fun to comment on other posts as it is to write my own.

It's the only way I have met friends blogging and it's totally fair. If they pay the courtesy to read my blogs I of course will pay the same courtesy - and the good thing, you get to discover some awesome content and some amazing people!! Now you better read mine or I will think you are mean. Hahahahaa

If the name of the blog interests me, I'll look at it. I won't read something I KNOW I won't be interested in, but most of the time I'll end up reading it.

Yes, I always do this. It gives me an idea who's visiting and what sort of blog worldview they inhabit.

Yep I do.

If the people are pleasant I continue to comment if the are not then I look for someone more pleasant.

Comments are what give blogs their atmosphere... some blogging communities can be witty or insightful...

It's a great way to get acquainted! Checking the Orble list every day is another. It's also great fun to welcome newcomers, show them around a little and watch them as they progress.

I agree Jason blogging is a two way thing for readers and bloggers and commenting is soemthing we do in between our posts, so yes I would comment on others who comment on mine.

Just if suddenly one of my blogs became successful, I don't know how I'd keep up!?

I'd probably add link or trackbacks and keep up with as many blogs as I could!

Well, thinking about it, I'll say the thing I love most about Orble is the comments I get. And I do love some of the bloggers really and truly. Occasionally, though, I just know that if I DO look at the blog, I'm going to bore myself to tears.

I learned a long time ago that no matter how grateful you are, most people will understand that you don't want to do that.
