Blogging Can Be A Residual Income

September 24th 2008 19:10
Blogging has become a workable business tool for online websites or on their own they serve to keep people entertained and informed quite often, so I thought I would go through the many passive incomes and residual income models you can have with a blog, blog network or a collection of different niche blogs.

First up...

Advertising

If you can set up advertising from an ad network you have the potential to build up earnings either per view or through clicks, adsense, Kontera, bidvertiser and a few others, offer this form of residual income and the higher your blogs traffic the better your earnings obviously will be.

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate links, affiliated reviews and free reports that you give away with affiliate links inside it are all good and the standard for earning passively, again the more targeted and the more traffic you have the better your chances of earning residually could occur.

Advertising spots on your blog

You could have companies pay you to advertise their company websites on your blog, either in the form of a banner or text link and they pay you a set amount each month, this could build up over time as your blogs traffic and readership increases, so will your rates for advertising.

Backlinks an Articles

Yes you heard right, most residual income is brought about by the work you do beforehand in the form of backlinking and article marketing, the more you do of this, then the more traffic and earnings you gain in the long term.

Any other forms of residual income out there? I know there are some creative people out there who know especially here one! Orble

Blog Marketing The Right Way

September 24th 2008 12:30
Blog marketing is a skill in itself and one that takes a little patience to get right, plus some good planning before you actually get don to some good old fashioned marketing, and by old fashioned then that's not quite true as social promotion in web 2.0 is something that is becoming increasingly useful in any marketing medium or marketing social circles.

Marketing your blog takes it down to a level of aggressiveness at times for some, others have a sense of fun in their marketing by interacting with other bloggers in their niche, marketing your blog is just about making business contacts and associates and friends along the way.

Obviously the right way of blogging does not involve spamming your blog links here there and everywhere and the respect of other bloggers also comes into your marketing plan to.

Helping other bloggers by linking to some of their blog posts and rating a post by giving an insightful comment is a much appreciated part of network marketing that is very strong and has been since the days of the old forums and even myspace.

Problogger has lots of tips about the promotion and marketing of your blog and Problogger has a book out on the subject, which I have reviewed

How To Make Money Blogging

September 24th 2008 11:54
Easy ways and some that take a little effort are all effective, but what is your preferred method?

Starting out in the online world of blogging can be quite daunting to some especially if you are not used to writing for others who will and should find your blog, but after a few posts you should get into the swing of things and understand what it's all about with blogging!

First to make any money online through blogging you must have an understanding of the fundamental basics of blog marketing and blog post types, once you have this under your belt you can concentrate on the business in hand of making money online through your one blog or better yet, a network of blogs.

Earning and the many earning methods you can use to build your blogging income are vast, as there are new types of blog income plug ins and other affiliate products to earn from through your blog, but for our purposes we want to fit it directly into your niche market, the subject of your blog.

Examine the statements below to determine and focus your blogs subject

Who are you targeting online?

What groups of people do you want to reach?

What are the top five at least best products in that niche market?

Who are your competing sites or blogs?

How are you going to blog?

Ask yourself all of these questions then the last question is your deciding factor, the one that helps you to plan from the information you should now have from the previous questions.

Once you have an understanding of your market do you follow through with building a content library and offers scattered throughout, not banners everywhere or more ads than useful content, no, what you need to do is provide lots of content and scatter your affiliate links and adsense ads (or whatever you have in terms of cpa ads or cpm ads!) throughout your blog, in posts, on your sidebar, always have an order or thought in the back of your mind as to what you are going to promote next or fit in somewhere else.

The subject of blogging for profit always comes up on the internet, the truth is only a few are actually dong it well, some are making extra money, others are just getting by and some are working a couple of hours each day and the the rest of their time is spent doing what they like because they have built their earnings to such a high level that they can afford to take some time off for themselves - passive income that is!

So in short, making money by blogging does take some effort, but it is well worth it to try, because if you don't...then well you won't have tried, simple as that!
